HELLIX REPORTS ON NEW PROPERTY EXPLORATION AND DRILL RESULTS

HELLIX VENTURES INC. / ABINGTON VENTURES INC. has identified areas of significant exploration potential on the recently acquired Oakland mine. The company plans on conducting a trenching program and is preparing an engineering report on re-entering 4 shafts that are sunk on the property. This is subject to permitting and engineering study. Abington Ventures also plans on conducting a feasibility study on re-entering the Verdstone Gold mine, north of the Hellix claim group.

Hellix Ventures also reports that the joint exploration plan of operations with Abington Ventures announced August 3, 2004 will also extends to the claims recently acquired by Hellix Ventures.

In other news, the Hellix Ventures and Abington Ventures joint drill program has been completed. This program tested a number of targets on the property as defined by geochemical and geophysical surveys. Assay results have been received, with no economical gold values encountered.

Hellix Ventures is engaged in the identification, acquisition, exploration and development of gold and silver properties. Hellix also has interests in producing gas wells in Alberta, Canada.
