ABINGTON OPTIONS LA DURA SILVER MINE

ABINGTON VENTURES INC. (the "Company")  Management is very pleased to announce the company has optioned for further evaluation and due diligence the La Dura Silver and Gold mine from an arms length private Mexican company based in Mexico City. La Dura is located in the Copalquin Mining District, in the municipality of Tamazula within the state of Durango , Mexico . The option to acquire includes all properties, assets and equipment and all mining concessions consisting of approximately 1000 Hectares.

The La Dura mine can be accessed by a paved road and by an unpaved road to El Durazno town in Durango . La Dura is approximately 2km from El Durazno. El Durazno has a small airport with daily flights to Culican, Sinaloa (1/2hr) and Parral, Chihuahua (1hr).

The La Dura deposit is located in the Upper Tertiary volcanic package that crowns to the mountain range of the Sierra Madre Occidental . The country rock is constituted by ryolitic tuffs that host the mineralized structures.

Currently there is a flotation plant, electrical power generators, a metallurgical laboratory, a workshop, and mining equipment.

The company is also very pleased to announce that the Council of Mineral Resources of Mexico, together with the department of mines of the state of Durango are proposing to drill four holes in this property to further demonstrate the merits of this property. Based on previous studies, they feel that this property could be a showcase for the municipality of Tamazula in the state of Durango .

Management is very excited by this opportunity and feels the La Dura mine has the potential to develop a significant reserve and resource inventory with limited exploration and development. A 43-101 report has been commissioned by Mr. Laurence Sookochoff, P.Eng. an independent Qualified Person and is due to be finalized on or about the middle of July, 2004. Management will commence immediately a due diligence program that will include I.P geophysics, surveying, sampling and selective drilling.
